V’Eco wins iF DESIGN AWARD 2021
V’Eco, the first coffee machine with a front made from coffee waste, is the winner of this year’s
iF DESIGN AWARD, the world-renowned design prize. V’Eco is the first coffee machine in de Jong DUKE’s ACT2 program. A program to take social responsibility in environmental issues. This is the third award in a row for V’Eco for its design and sustainable values. It has been previously awarded with GIO award and an IDA.
The V'Eco lives up to its name. The door of this coffee machine is made of almost 100% recycled material and the front panel of coffee grounds that has been processed into bio-plastic.
V’Eco convinced the international, independent iF jury panel which consisted of a total of 98 high profile design experts from over 20 nations. The V’Eco won in the discipline product in the category office.
iF DESIGN AWARD
The iF DESIGN AWARD is awarded annually by the world's oldest independent design institute, iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover. Since 1954, the iF DESIGN AWARD is recognised as the benchmark for high-quality design. Submissions are categorised in the following disciplines: product, packaging, communication and service design, architecture and interior architecture, and UI / UX and professional concept.
